It's a Cheer Thing!

Hey if anyone has a sister or friend who is a cheerleader, my sister, a coach at Hillcrest has a fun website for cheerleaders around the nation to post info and pictures. Here is the link:

What an upset in my opinion!!

For anyone who was following the American Idol this season, -- what a crazy surprise! I wasn't voting for Archuleta just because he was from Utah- I seriously thought he had a better trained voice and had better control. Cook had days where he did good, but also had days where he sang out of pitch and just sounded flat. Other than the time when Archuleta forgot the words, he didn't really have a bad voice day. The only time there were problems was when the judges didn't like the song choice, but he still sang the song really well. Cook on the other hand slaughtered some songs. The only thing that is probably for the better is that Cook is a better rock star to fulfill the American Idol image. He'll have wilder concerts where as Archuleta will have concerts more like Michael Buble'. But I still think as far as talent goes, Archuleta was above and beyond Cook. It serves me right though, -my kids and husband like the rock kind of music better than the mellow, so they were voting Cook, & I was going around the house asking them if they were going to cry when Cook lost! And saying how excited I was to see Archuleta win tonight! So you can only imagine what I am getting back! : ) I guess from the mouth of Simon --"Just an Opinion!"

Dallas's 1st Track Meet

Dallas had his 1st track meet today for school and has been so excited for weeks! He has been "training" for it several different times and begged to run to school today to "warm up" for the big day! He competed in the 400 meter, 200 meter, and the standing long jump. It was such a hot day today which made the running even harder! After the 2 running events, He has decided that he does not want to do that again! Next time he will go for the 50 meter or 100! It was tooooooo far!

Dallas and Garrett (a friend at school) lined up to start the race.

Panting and tired at the end!

Home Sweet Home!

Well, for all of our friends and family who live far away and haven't been able to see our new home, I thought I would post a few pictures of it. Rich and I have been talking a lot lately and have never really felt permanent here. We love the home and are happy we bought it, but we just have felt from day one that it will be a short stay. We have been talking about what is important on the grand scale and have decided to put the house up for sale for the next couple months to kind of test the water. We know that real estate is not very good and only plan to list for a couple months till I have the baby and then take it off. If it sells - yeah! We were supposed to move, and if it doesn't, then we are happy to stay for a while longer. We were probably going to put it up next spring anyway, so we'll just try it out and see what happens. So for all of you who haven't been able to see where we live, here are a few pic's of the house.

Our Cute Mackenzie

We got Mackenzie's preschool pictures back the other day and they turned out so cute I thought I would post one. Some day she'll be embarrassed that I shared this, but I picked her up from school the day she brought them home, and she showed them to me along with one of her whole class and I was raving to her about how cute her picture was over and over. And then she named all the little kids in her class -all 9 :o) only 3 of them girls- and I said "oh you are so beautiful! You are the prettiest one in the whole class!" and she said very dramatically, "I knooowww!!! I've been staring at me all daaayyy!!!" What a funny girl! But we do think you are beautiful too! We love you Mackenzie!

Confessions of a pregnant, mindless mom of 4!

Tonight I was trying to put pictures off of my camera onto the computer and I'm tired of how long it takes to load all 300+ pictures to be able to download a few at the end. So I decided I was finally going to delete the ones that are already on the computer. So, I'm zooming through, "delete, yes, delete, yes" and mid Christmas photos, I think, I really should scroll through the pictures on the computer at the same time to make sure they really are all on there. So I scroll down to where the Christmas SHOULD BE!, (now that I have deleted the 1st half of them thinking they were OBVIOUSLY going to be on the computer) and they are no where to be found!!!! Luckily I stopped when I did or we would have absolutely NO pictures of Christmas 2007, but at least I have opening stockings, the 2 grandparents house events, and then each kid by their pile of "loot". I'm so sad! All of the early morning surprise looks of what Santa had brought and opening presents are forever gone.

We have a verdict!

We are seeing Pink!!! I didn't know if we could break the cycle, but apparently we can't. Girl #4 is on her way! We are still excited cause I like to do bows and hair. Dallas is a little disappointed, but after a few minutes he was even trying to look at the positive side. He told Richie that at least he would still be the only one able to go to Richie's basketball games to watch and he doesn't have to share his room.

She is very active! She was kickin and flippin all over the place. And just like Micailey's ultrasound, she loves that arm up by her head!

I guess now we'll need some feed back on name ideas. If we have Micailey & Mackenzie, is it silly or cute to have Brinley and another B name or should we go a totally different letter. If anyone knows any not so common but cute names, we are open for suggestion!

Here are a few Pict's from the ultrasound. They are clear in person but I can't scan them in so I had to take a picture of them and crop it down, so they aren't very clear.
But you can get the idea.

19 weeks and counting!

Just to let everyone know, we will be (hopefully) finding out if we are having a boy or girl at the beginning of next week. We love our Girls but we're crossing our fingers to give Dallas a brother! So we'll let you know if we'll be seeing the familiar shade of pink or a long lost shade of blue! Wish us luck!

Sick and Tired of the MESS!!!

Okay, this will be rather humbly of a photo to post, but it was driving me crazy. We could spend hours cleaning our toy room and the next day after playing for 20 minutes it would always look like this again! The kids would wine because they couldn't possibly clean it up by themselves! So guess who got to clean it! There was never anywhere to put anything accept around the edges of the room and it always just seemed to be everywhere.

So I convinced Richie that we needed some kind of a system. After checking into units that would of cost $300 and up, we decided that we could just get bookshelves and use the baskets we already had and save $. So- thanks to an awesome sale at Shopko over the weekend, we finally did it!!! This is the reward after 2 days of organizing and rearranging. Every category of toy has it's own special bin and spot on the shelf! Now if it can just stay this way for a while!

Dallas's Pinewood Derby

This is Dallas's Black Pearl! He won the most "Hollywood" car. It sure looked cool.
It would always be in first place at the start of the track and then loose speed on the second half. It wasn't decked out for the best aerodynamics's, but it sure looked awesome. He is still blaming me for it not being fast because he says that he just wanted a fast black car to call the Black Pearl and put his pirate stuff on - and of course I couldn't leave it at that. So we had to deck it out as a real ship, and apparently that was a problem.
