End of the year Carnival

Cosmo!


Dallas's class was asked to each help with a half hour shift of face painting during the carnival. If any of you know Dallas very well~ he LOVES to draw! He not only sat there for his half hour, but then still sat there for probably an hour more ;o). He even made some tips from a few moms! That made his day! Good job bud!
(He liked it so much that the next morning, Saturday, they set up a carnival on our front yard with our bouncy house, tunnels, and ... more face painting! And he did such a good job that we enlisted his help the following Tuesday, along with a friend Dane, to face paint all the little girls faces at our Mother Daughter Diva Derby Carnival! I'm pretty sure he can go "pro" in face painting now!)

He got lots of practice painting all of his siblings faces :o)

She did awesome! Micailey had been boasting that she did the rock wall and rang the bell, so Mackenzie had to prove she could do it too!

Coming back down

Activities like this are always full of mixed emotions :o) The begging for a wrist band, candy, drinks.... That's one down fall of being from a big family :o) We're not going to spend $80 for everyone to have a wrist band... no matter how much pep talk before hand of "There will be NO begging! You can't do everything there! We'll have to come home if there is any crying!" That is all thrown out the window with the opening of the door at the school :o( For the most part they all did pretty good, but it's always an adventure!

Micailey's Track Meet

Micailey had her Hershey's Track Meet on Thursday, May 5th. She did AWESOME! She was so excited that our friend Amina was going to be here visiting that I guess it gave her the extra "oomph" to run like no other :o) She placed 1st in the 100 & 1st in the 200!!! She got called back to run in the semi-finals for the 100 and placed either 3rd or 4th. She also was selected as on of the 8 fastest girls in her grade at her school to run the relay race. Their team took 1st place over all the girls relay teams! They were way ahead & "smoked" all the other teams! I also have to give a shout out to all of our friends at Canyon Elementary :o) They came in 2nd! ( I think) Good job to all of you girlies! :o)

April Milestones...

He now "motors" where ever he wants to go!

I have recently been reminded of how quickly they move too!

He was playing in the family room and we have a door to our basement stairs that the kids had left open. I went to tell Rich something out front on Saturday and when I came back just a few seconds later I found him with his hands on the top stair, rocking and lunging back and forth! Luckily the stairs are now carpeted and even more luckily, he didn't go down them~ but it sure could have happened!

He also has 2 little teeth! .... and LOVES to bite now!

His bottom left tooth came in April 29th, and his bottom right came in the next day... April 30th

but Dallas got a new suit, white shirt & tie, and Rylan got 2 little shirts~

Rich's dad spoke in his ward on Easter Sunday so we were able to

join them for Sacrament and Dinner after.
