Enjoying Popsicles!

Our first day of Summer and Popsicles! They looked so cute out here we had to snap a few photos. They were "talking" with there popsicles saying -"hello, my name is Cherry" and then Brin said "hello, my name is Banana" and then bonk their popsicles together and laugh and have more conversations with there popsicles. I love it when we all get along!

It's a Cheer Thing!

Hey if anyone has a sister or friend who is a cheerleader, my sister, a coach at Hillcrest has a fun website for cheerleaders around the nation to post info and pictures. Here is the link:

What an upset in my opinion!!

For anyone who was following the American Idol this season, -- what a crazy surprise! I wasn't voting for Archuleta just because he was from Utah- I seriously thought he had a better trained voice and had better control. Cook had days where he did good, but also had days where he sang out of pitch and just sounded flat. Other than the time when Archuleta forgot the words, he didn't really have a bad voice day. The only time there were problems was when the judges didn't like the song choice, but he still sang the song really well. Cook on the other hand slaughtered some songs. The only thing that is probably for the better is that Cook is a better rock star to fulfill the American Idol image. He'll have wilder concerts where as Archuleta will have concerts more like Michael Buble'. But I still think as far as talent goes, Archuleta was above and beyond Cook. It serves me right though, -my kids and husband like the rock kind of music better than the mellow, so they were voting Cook, & I was going around the house asking them if they were going to cry when Cook lost! And saying how excited I was to see Archuleta win tonight! So you can only imagine what I am getting back! : ) I guess from the mouth of Simon --"Just an Opinion!"

Dallas's 1st Track Meet

Dallas had his 1st track meet today for school and has been so excited for weeks! He has been "training" for it several different times and begged to run to school today to "warm up" for the big day! He competed in the 400 meter, 200 meter, and the standing long jump. It was such a hot day today which made the running even harder! After the 2 running events, He has decided that he does not want to do that again! Next time he will go for the 50 meter or 100! It was tooooooo far!

Dallas and Garrett (a friend at school) lined up to start the race.

Panting and tired at the end!
