Our little Huggies Ad!

The other day the kids were playing around on the Huggies box and it looked so cute. A couple people said we should turn it in to them as an add and see what happens... heaven knows with 4 kids in diapers last year they should owe us something :) j/k

Finally some Halloween posts!

My friend gave me some a chocolate pretzel kit and the kids begged to use it for a week. We finally let them make them one night. You just melt some large colored chocolate chips and pipe it in to some cute Halloween molds. It was really fun and they did really well.

The finished product the next morning. Every one got to make 2.

I think they turned out cute and fun!
I don't know why this last picture uploaded side ways because it isn't that way in my photo's folder.
Thanks again April for the fun (& yummy) birthday gift!

We've gone..... "a little bit country"!

Saturday, October 17th, when we were done camping, we drove out to Nephi to a friend of Connie and Dell's and picked potato's at their farm. My kids have always said that they wanted to live on a farm, so as you can imagine, they were in heaven. They were really good helpers! They couldn't believe how many potato's there were! After the fields were picked.... we weren't the only ones picking them up, the friends asked if the kids would like to have a horse ride. Dallas has been begging to take horse back riding lessons for quite a while now, so you can imagine how excited he, and everyone else was! They were so fun to watch. I knew the big kids would love it but I didn't know how the little kids would react. But everyone, even Macie, Cohen, and Jordan did not want off when their ride was over. They cried when we eventually pulled them off. I was surprised! It was so fun! Now they want to live on a farm AND own a horse :)
Mikayla is a rodeo "star". She rides around the barrels. She is such a cute girl! After walking the kids on the horse 30 laps around their farm, she asked them if they would like to feed the horse. Everyone was intrigued, but only Jordan dared to actually try it. You have to admit, a horse has a pretty big mouth and can be a little intimidating!
A huge thank you to Mandi and Wade (and Mikayla) for letting my kids
experience a little taste of the country!

Breaking News!

I have tons of Disney and Halloween pictures to post, but 1st I have to brag about Dallas's award! He entered the Reflections contest with a painting of a picture we took in Yellowstone and he was one of the few that were selected to go on to Council! Great Job Bud!!! We are so proud of you! Here are a few of the pictures from that day.

Above is his actual painting and below is the inspirational photo from Yellowstone.
He did an awesome job! Luckily we took a color copy of it before we sent it in, then I had to take a photo of it to be able to get it on the blog... so hopefully you can still see some details!.
It doesn't look as good as it does in person, but at least you get the picture :o)

He was one of 6 (only the kids with medals around their necks are going to Council)

Where did October Go????

I have tons of October posts and no time to post them in! Be patient and hopefully I will get to them soon!

Micailey's a photographer!

This year in school, Dallas and Micailey were supposed to turn in a Reflections entry. The theme was "Beauty is....." . Dallas painted a picture of a picture we took while we were in Yellowstone this year (I'll post a picture of it later) and Micailey was going to paint a picture too. She had it all drawn out on her art paper and then got tired of doing it and procrastinated.... point is, it was due on Monday and we were going camping all weekend. So she decided she wasn't going to turn an entry in. While we were camping we took a walk and I told her to take some pictures of the beautiful fall colors and nature so that just in case she changed her mind, she could turn in a photograph. So as we walked, we looked for beautiful stuff and these are a few of the best ones she took. She did really good!

This is the one we ended up turning in. I love it! I just might enlarge it and hang it on my wall! :) It kind of reminds me of the Sacred Grove in a way.
Even on Sunday, she still said she wasn't turning in an entry so I didn't worry about doing anything for it and then .....
10 MINUTES!!!!!
..... before her ride picked her up on Monday, she changed her mind and was begging to be able to turn in an entry! That is Micailey for you!
So we read the instructions really quick for photography and no where on there did it say that it HAD to be printed on actual photo paper, so we printed it on plain paper and backed it with cardboard and slid it in a sheet protector and "wallah", she had a Reflections entry.
What a circus! She had to walk to school by herself because she missed her ride, but she was proud of it! Ahh, the things you do for your kids!
Good Luck Micailey and Dallas!
