Brinley's birthday

Brinley was sick for her birthday and it was on a Sunday, so we had a quiet little family party.
This is what she woke up to :)

She was so excited to decorate her crown!

Opening her gifts

Her favorite gift! I wonder why!?!? What could it be?

Painting toenails

Tadah! The finished toes.

and fingers!

She's 4! She wanted a purse cake to go along with the theme of our girly party.

Trying to blow out the candles....
and blowing....
then all of the sudden.....
her gum came flying out of her mouth and landed on the edge of the cake!
All of the kids busted out laughing!!!

Trying again and finally getting them out!

Eating her yummy cake

The hit of the night! They had so much fun on her scooter! They laughed and laughed.... and laughed some more!

Brinley's 3rd birthday at Disneyland

1st day of pre-school

So freakin cute!

Being silly!

October 09
She loves Bug cars and points them out all the time!
She has a few that we see regularly when we are driving
and they are "her" bug cars!
So this is a tribute to Brinley's Bug Cars :)

Awe! My beautiful Brinley! We love you soooo much! You bring a spark to every new day! You are our little "Princess"! I sobbed when I had to leave for Morocco because I felt like you were still so little and didn't understand. I didn't know how you would react to losing your mommy for an entire month and gaining 2 brothers when I got back! You went from the baby of the family to the middle child in just a couple months. Still to this day, a year and a half later, when we cuddle, all I have to say is... "I love you" & you say "I love you too" & I say "I missed you" & you say "I missed you too" ~ it's our little bonding time!
We love you and hope you have a wonderful year being 4!

Happy Thanksgiving!

For Family Night before Thanksgiving we talked about the Pilgrims and Indians and the First Thanksgiving and why we eat the foods we eat, and of course things that we are thankful for and then finished up with making Indian hats and hand print turkeys. The kids had a lot of fun and a few even took them to school the next day.

Kenzie even made one for Sadie :)

I think it was Brinley (maybe Micailey) that took this picture of
Dad entertaining Macie during the crafts

SILLY FACE!

This year was a Smith year for Thanksgiving. We had lots of yummy food! We even had a new Nephew, Jack Thomas Nelson, born on Thanksgiving! What more could you ask for!

Brinley, Marion, and Mackenzie waiting to eat!

Diggin' in! Yum!
We have so much to be thankful for this year! Things are going SOOOO much better with the adoption! We are in a nice home. Rich has an awesome job that lets me stay at home with the kids! We have awesome family and friends! We live in a free country where you have the freedom to worship as you want! We have the gospel in our lives! And so much more! We are so blessed!
