Brinley & Jordan's T-ball

With 2 kindergartener's this year, we got double duty on T-ball too :o)

Girls played on Tuesday's and Thursday's and Boy's played on Wednesday's and Friday's...

So if you notice- that meant that for 6 weeks straight, we were at the ballpark 4 out of the 5 days of the week!  To top it off, the city called before the season started and said that if Rich (or me) didn't coach the team, there wouldn't be a team!!!  So, we got to coach Brinley's T-ball team this year, which actually turned out kind of fun! Just a little hectic when Rich couldn't come to the games on Thursday's but yet I still had all my kids there!  But it worked out!

 I missed most of the Wednesday games because of my church calling, but I did make it to most of the Friday games.  His coach was a friend in the ward who didn't have an assistant so sometimes I would go out in the out field and help him with the boys too.  Jordan had such a fun time and did pretty good!

All in all, it was a great year!  It was a welcome relief when it was over though, I will admit!

 Lucky for me I have a friend who is a nurse and took them out for us!

There is no way that I am cut out for that line of work!!!

But, he was the typical Jordan with his smile on the whole time :o)

Jordan's 6th Birthday

This year for Jordan's Birthday, we had to just have a family party until he could have his staples removed.  So he picked to go to Carl's Jr. and eat and play at the play place.

Memorial Day

 It is tradition that we always go to Brigham City with Rich's family to visit his grandparents and the cemetery there and then have a luncheon at his Grandma Smith's and this year was a dessert bar at his Grandma Penrod's.  This year, was no different... except for one event!!!

 A little trip to the E.R. with Jordan!!!

While in the back yard at Grandma's, Jordan, Cohen, Macie, and Rylan were all sitting on a cement pad blowing bubbles and a few other bigger kids were playing on a swing set next to the cement pad.  All the sudden, we heard a huge crash and SCREAMING!!!! Lot's of screaming.  All the adults ran to the back yard to find that the swing set had broken and the A frame side had fell right on to the pad where the kids had been blowing bubbles.  Luckily it missed most of them (for the most part), but the top of the A fell right on Jordan's head as he was looking down and blowing bubbles.  Every one of my kids were screaming, even the big kids because they had just been dropped in mid swing to the ground.  Cohen had been hit on the side and hip by the A frame, luckily Macie was just outside of the A and Rylan happened to be in the inner part of the A.  But then they brought me poor Jordan!  He was dripping in blood, literally!  I took one look at him and yelled "Richie!!!! Stitches!!!!"  We had to get directions to the nearest E.R.... which by the way is 20 minutes north in Tremonton!  So we quickly got everything together and the other kids under control and Rich, Dell, Jordan, and I set out for the E.R.  This was my 1st time for taking a kid to the E.R.!  He was a trooper!  He still had his big smile pretty much the whole ride and through the HOUR AND A HALF!!!! visit!  I thought E.R.'s were for emergency's!!!  We were the only one's there!  What the heck!

Even with Jordan getting hurt, we are really lucky that that was as bad as it got!  

We're thankful that every one else was okay!

Harris Girls Weekend in Park City

 My oldest sister, Terri, planned a Girls 8 and up weekend in Park City.  It was so much fun!  We got a condo and had dinner, did each others nails, went swimming, and came back for "mocktails" and facials! :o)  The girls loved it and were so giddy all night!  This is definitely going to be on the yearly "to do" list!

Micailey's Mini Society

This year the school planned the Mini Society on the same day as Kindergarten Graduation.... don't know why they did that!  We had to go early before school to help them set up and it was cold and over cast and a huge storm was predicted to come.  But they still insisted that they were going to be outside!  So we got them set up, I ran home and dug out our canopy to try to keep them a little drier, came back, got it set up.  Went home and got a phone call from Micailey about 15 minutes later that the wind was so bad that all they could do was hold on to the canopy or it would blow away, even though we had tied it down.  By the time I got to the school, it started pouring down!  Everyone's stuff was getting drenched!  They had people scattered all over the school field.  I grabbed a couple teachers and told them this was nuts and that it wasn't safe (there was even thunder and lighting) and that it was going to a huge flop and miserable and could they please just go set up in the school corridors and along the hallways.  They finally agreed and every one bolted inside!  By the time we got everything in there we were all drenched from head to toe!  It will be quite the memory I'm sure!  But after all that was over, it turned out to be a fun day for her!  She and a friend sold treats, snack, pop, and candy, and painted finger nails on the side.  

Good job Micailey on your successful 5th grade Mini Society! 

Kindergarten Graduation for Brinley & Jordan

 They both did so good and sang their little hearts out! 

I love it when they actually participate!  It is so dang cute! :o)

 We loved their teachers!  They are both so awesome!

Jordan's teacher did so good with him and helped me pin point some of the things that I had noticed and just couldn't connect the dots together.  She was really good!  We loved her so much and were so excited when they announced that she was moving up to teach 1st grade!  So we requested her again :o).  After this photo was taken, she asked him for another hug and burst into tears, which in turn made me cry!  :o)
