Macie Turned 1!

Oh, my little Macie!
What an eventful year! You are such a delight in our home!

I'm sure glad you knew the crazy family that you were coming to before you came!

Coming home from the hospital.

My little Princess! Nov. 08

From day one, you didn't want anything to do with a "binky".
You would gag and spit it out and preferred your fingers.
To this day, they are your #1 comfort tool!
This picture was taken before you figured out which fingers you liked the best.
You now suck on the two middle fingers.

Learning to roll over....

You did it!

Our special day! June 27, 09

4th of July 2009
Your favorite pass time- emptying my drawers and cupboards!
And learning to walk! July 09

You are such a mommy's girl and always have been!
Thanksgiving Point

Your 1st hair cut - August 23rd, 09

You are such a fun little girl! It is so fun to watch your personality come out and grow! You are already such a tease and love to run away from me. You love to climb up the stairs and can do it in the blink of an eye! You love your mommy and get jealous if anyone else sits on my lap. Which is a little tricky at this house! Every one here loves you and loves to "mother" you and carry you around. We are so happy that you are in our family and LOVE you very much! I hope you had a fun birthday!

Jordan's 1st Day of Preschool

I can't believe how fast time is flying by! He looks so old in this picture! He is such a cute kid! He is so excited to go to school and be a "big" kid!

Cohen, Brinley, and Jordan on the porch bench waiting for the bus to come.
I didn't know if he was going to be clingy when the bus came and cry or not, so I was a little worried. But we made him his little sack lunch and went outside and took some pictures while we waited for the bus. When it pulled up, he was so excited that he was going to school, that he ran right up and climbed on! The first thing he said when he got home was "I rided a bus mom! I want to do that again another day, k mom?!"
He said that they sang songs and ate snacks, and played toys and he told Dallas something about a puppet show. He LOVED it!

Brinley was actually a little teary eyed after he left. She said that she didn't get to say goodbye to him but I think it was a little more than that. They have their little fights every now and then, but they really do like to play together! It will be good for her to start preschool next week!

Macie's 1st Haircut 8/23/09

So, for Macie's whole life, she has had just a few REALLY long hairs all over her head. The rest of her hair has basically grown at the same rate but these long hairs are finally getting in her eyes all the time and bugging her so we decided to cut them. Micailey was my photographer and we kept her entertained with a few cereals and a tooth brush to chew on.

The before shot....

The new "do"....not a lot different, but nice and trimmed :)

The hair we cut off.
I told you, there were only a few, but she sure looks cute!

Back to School! Yeah!

This year we have 3 kids in school all day!
Mackenzie is SOOO excited to have lunch in the cafeteria and recesses!
Dallas & Micailey are excited too, but not nearly as much :)

Playing in the Sprinklers

Right before summer ended the kids wanted to have fun in the water one more time,
so we went out back and played in the hose.
They were having fun playing with the umbrella and being silly.

Micailey and I were sitting on our patio bench and I was going to snap a picture of Mackenzie. Right as I snapped it, you can see what Brin did!!!

She blasted Micailey on the power wash setting!
The picture doesn't show it very good, but she drenched Micailey, got me pretty wet & luckily didn't get the camera too wet. We jumped and ran!

She is such a character!
She was dancing around and making faces with Micailey's glasses.
What a goof!

After a while the kids decided to set up a beach themed party and invited the neighbor friends over to play. Initially they wanted to ride around the block and tell every one to come and charge $ to come.... ya we discouraged that idea!
But they had a lot of fun! They played beach volleyball.

Had relays to see who could put on all the stuff and get back the fastest, blew bubbles, and had a few other games.

Brin mostly picked our peas clean!
The kids have loved having fresh peas in the garden this year!
They had a lot of fun today!

Dinner up the Canyon

Towards the end of July our Grandma invited us to go up the canyon
and eat dinner and roast marshmallows.
The kids had a blast!

After gathering some dry sticks, Grandpa gave them a quick lesson
on how to stack a fire so that it will burn.

Dad and Macie waiting for the fire to burn down.
