Our 1st camping trip of the season ;)

We've been itching to pull the trailer out and head up the canyon, but hadn't had the time for quite a while. We finally got together with Rich's Mom and Dad and his brother's family. Dallas and Micailey were even able to invite a couple friends. We had a lot of fun but it was so hot I was dying! The boys LOVED and BEGGED to build the fire!
Even when we didn't need one they were begging and wondering when they could!

Thanks for bringing UNO attack Amy! It entertained Cohen and Macie for quite a while!

Friday night, a few more friends and family came up for dinner.
We had quite the delicious dutch oven dinner complete with dutch oven desserts with ice cream! Now that is what I call camping! :) YUM!

No camping trip is complete with out the Marshmallow roasting!
Grandma had found and bought HUGE Marshmallows that the kids were begging to roast! It ended up being very messy! ... but very yummy! FYI... Those Marshmallows need 2 entire graham crackers to make a Smores! They ooze everywhere! :)

Macie enjoying her yummy camp stove pancakes
She actually ended getting sick at some point up here, with the hand, foot, and mouth virus.
It was not a fun following week or 2! She also spread it to Brinley, Jordan, and Cohen who didn't end up getting it as bad as she did, which we are COMPLETELY thankful for! The poor girl didn't hardly eat or sleep for a week and a half! Her little cousin got it too while up for dinner that night. So sad!

Dallas's cousin Oliver brought his BB Gun and all the boys and even some of the girls, had fun shooting at paper plate/ pop can targets. After this camping trip, we didn't hear the end of begging for one from Dallas and Micailey. Rich finally broke down and got them one ...against their mothers words... I hate guns! So we are now the proud owner of a BB Gun.
hip hip hurray! Not!

Grandma knew there were tons of pine cones all over the campsite and brought the supplies to make cute turkey's out of them. The kids had fun doing these and it was fun to see all the different little personalities come out in the turkeys!
Another good thought of Grandma's was for the kids to bring their scooters. They also had a blast riding their scooters around the campsite loop over and over and over. We had so much fun that we parked the trailer at Rich's parents for the week and ended going up the next weekend too. We still want to venture out on a few more camping trips before the snow flies, but we'll have to see if we can squeeze it in!
